Zhang Xiaotao holds a Ph.D. from the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) and serves as a Visiting Professor at the School of Creative Media, City University of Hong Kong. He is a leading figure in Chinese new media art. His work has been featured in major international exhibitions, including the 55th Venice Biennale, the 7th Asia Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art (APT7), the 2nd Prague Biennale, the 6th Moscow Biennale, and the Ars Electronica Festival in Linz, Austria. His works are held in the collections of major art museums and foundations worldwide.
